5. Conclusions
New technologies are being developed fast. The new
methods of data capturing produce more and more
spatial data. How to manage and interoperate these
data is a big problem. Federated spatial database is
an ideal solution. After discussing the concepts of
federated spatial databases and interoperability, a
data model of federated spatial databases is brought
out in this paper. But further researches should be
carried out on the interoperability among.vector
database, DEM database and image database. We
are working on it.
