WAVELENGTH
(0.005 - MICROMETER GRID)
MICROMETERS FROM PEAK
Figure 1. Ad-hoc bandpass profile used for the
relative spectral response profiles of the ASAS
channels. The grid spacing is 0.005 micrometers
for use in the 5S code and there is no central
peak value because the ASAS band centers are
located between grid wavelengths in the relevant
part of the spectrum.
Figure 3. Bandpass filters used to degrade the
spectra in Figure 4, at 0.005 micrometer
resolution, to spectral resolutions of 0.01, 0.02,
0.03, and 0.04 micrometers. Because of symmetry
about the peak filter value, only half of each
bandpass filter is shown. The spectral resolution
is defined as the full width at half-maximum.

Figure 2. Results of surface reflectance retrieval from ASAS data. The different cases are discussed
in the text.
