Aerial and ground photographic surveillance 
enhances the Ministry of the Environment’s 
Investigations and Enforcement program by 
providing regular monitoring, adding new 
dimensions to interpretation and evaluation of our 
environment. 
Such comprehensive and irrefutable imagery enable 
the Ministry to effectively honour its mandate to 
monitor, assess and enforce an ongoing abatement 
program. 
This creation of the Investigations and Enforcement 
Branch of the Ministry of the Environment 
reinforces the province’s commitment, that illegal 
pollution will not be tolerated.
