SOME CONCLUSIONS CONCERNING THE FLI/PMI DATA
ACQUIRED FOR THE SZIGETKÔZ AREA
- good S/N ratio and spectral information content in
the VIS/NIR spectrum;
- chlorophyll red-edge band contains extra
information compared to CIR photography;
- fairly high dynamic range, instead of high
atmospheric humidity;
- unfavourable geometry, due to platform instability
(could be improved by using INS based geometric
correction);
* The data is useful for:
- computer assisted analysis of local areas /some km^
- detailed study of vegetation status and water
quality;
* Necessary developments:
- atmospheric correction (for view angle dependent
path radiance);
- knowledge based classification of segmented imagery
(useful also for high resolution satellite data).
