After the end of targeting the order is relayed to prepare 
the object ready for taking photographs* If the waiting pe- 
. riod is longer than 2 weeks / because of atmospheric condi 
tions / targeting is revised and fulfilled as,the need ari- 
• ses* Aerial photographs / point 4b / are taken by PPGK-War- 
saw, usually from an ai plane / sometimes for map scales of 
1:500 helicopters are used / during the spring and fall* Ma 
terials relayed through PPGK-Warsaw are : diapositives, con 
tact prints, enlargements into scale approximatly equal the 
scale of the map* 
After receiving the aerial photographs the group under 
taking basic measurements complete field identification of 
the control points /point 8/* 
In the case of control point not being visible on a pho 
tograph, certain field details or landmarks are chosen, which 
replace of the control point* 
Photograrnmetric materials from control points identifica 
tion together with calculated coordinates are then sent to the 
design and aerotriangulation group* This group serves the fo 
llowing functions : 
- aero+riangulation project / point 10 /, 
- office marking of joint points / PUG-3, point 11 /, 
- observation of independent models / STECOMETER,point 12/, 
- computation of aerotriangulation / AEROBLOK program, 
point 13 /, * 
AEROBLOK is a method of aerotriangulation from analyti 
cally or analogously created independent mQdels which are 
then successively adjusted in the block* The accuracy of bhe 
coordinates obtained by using this method are as follows : 
m = 12-14 cm m = 15-20 cm for map 1:2000

After receiving the enlargements of the aerial photos, 
field group begin work on them which includes interpreting, 
and drawing of the terrain details which compose the contents 
of the basic map / point 14 /• At the same time, included 
in this function , is the determination of property bouda- 
ries / point 15a /• 
The interpreted details comprising the map contents are 
drawn on the enlargments as lines or sometimes as points 
with a written explanation. This is considered to be a better 
method• 
An alternative method is also used which consist in di 
rect interpretation of ditails on a stereoscopic model, thus 
eliminating field interpretation* This method fully passed the 
test, for agricultural areas which are not to densely build 
upon* The amount of unmapped details or unnecessarily mapped 
details is about 10 - An advantage of this method is 
the shortening of the amount of time consumed to produce 
the map. A disadvantage is the increase of the amount of di 
rectly measured details*
