LARGE SCALE PROJECT SURVEYS
As mentioned earlier, planimetry in project surveys on scales
i: 15,000, 1:10,000 arid 1:5,000 can be obtained within a few months
from the controlled atfd stored photogrammetrie models on 1:20,000
scale. In other words^ project surveys can use the same base and
involve almost the same steps as required for normal 1:25,000 sur
veys. The method of relief surveys will depend on the type of a
project. The indentors can themselves carry out this task if they
have trained manpower. Undoubtedly, photo mapping will be quicker
than line-mapping and moreover line maps, if required, can be pre*
pared by tracing from the photo maps.
