By working on terminology, Business Management, Technical
cooperation and literature retrival systems for photogrammetry and
remote sensing, we greatly facilitate our work, we encourage
international cooperation and understanding and we help the
advancement of our field.
The work of Commission Vi on Education, trainning and
educational standards for photogrammetry, remote sensing, land
information sustems and geographic information systems not only
.guarantee the smooth scientific continuation but it is essentail for
rapide and economic advancement of those fields.
How much the symposium will contribute to these important
questions it remains to be seen. The indications are promising, and a
new stable and creative step may occur.
With this wish for the success of your objectives I declare the
official opening of the symposium of Commission VI of the
International Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing.

official scientific work you will have the opportunity to visit some
