6. THE SCIENTIFIC HERITAGE
OF MARIANO CUNIETTI
Many of these issues have been the object of fruitful
discussions in the past Measurement Days. Just to quote
a few of them:
the logical issues in the definition of measurement
constructive mathematics and measurement theory
fuzzy sets and measures in measurement
neural networks, interconnected systems, and
measurement
problems of language in their relevance to measurement
the relations among measurement, science, and
technique
relations between information and uncertainty in
measurement
the concept of intelligence and the intelligent
instrumentation
the measurement in the framework of the information
sciences
the system-man and the psychological processes of
evaluation and measurement)
I believe this is the best confirmation of the validity of the
ideas and intuitions Mariano Cunietti has left as his
scientific heritage.
