Architecture et technique La Belgique a établi, pour ses levers architectoniques, de véritables dessiers de restitution qui servent à la restauration des principaux monuments histo riques nationaux, avec une progression moyenne de 20 édifices par an, nécessi tant, chacun, la prise de 200 vues stéréoscopiques et d’un nombre considérable de vues normales de format réduit. La restitution se fait aux appareils universels de premier order. En Allemagne, le Prof. Burkhardt, titulaire d’un cours de photogrammétrie appliquée à l’architecture à l’Ecole Polytechnique de Berlin-Charlottenburg, s’est occupé de l’exécution et de la restitution du lever photogrammétrique de la chaire de l’Eglise de »Maria» à Berlin; des ruines d’un palais long 50 mètres (en employant 58 photogrammes Leica); du décor du palais Titania pour la construction d’un modèle en plâtre devant servir à des recherches stéréopho niques (le lever et l’examen des photos d’environ 20 parties de la façade furent très utiles pour la reconstruction). Un compte rendu de ces travaux a été publié dans »Photogrammétrie Engineering» —1953 (p. 723—730), sous le titre: R. Burkhardt »Short Range Photogrammetrv, with miniatur caméra and Multi plex». Digne de mention est aussi l’étude de Manek »Denkmaler Archive» dans »Naturwacht-Denkmalwacht» — Jena — Sept. 1953. En se servant d’appareils de prise de vues doubles Zeiss, l’Ing. K. O. Raab a effectué le lever de plusiers constructions (Limburg, Pfalz, et de ruines d’un couvent de la Forêt Noire) pour reproduction à échelle 1: 10 ... 1: 50, en resti tuant au Multiplex et, dans certains cas, au Séréolux, avec une précision, avec ce dernier restituteur, de 1 à 2 cm en planimétrie et, les circonstances aidant, avec la même précision dans les profils et dans les sections transversales.
