FINAL PLENARY SESSION 61 Commission I suggest also that we should organise conferences of general interest for the benefit of the users of photogrammetry on subjects directly connected with their current professional problems. Commission f suggest that their official Sessions should not be held at the same time as those of Commissions II, III, or IV. Commission I record their ap preciation of the efforts of the Belgian Society of Photogram metry in organising the prepara tory meetings at Brussels, and suggest that similar meetings should be held in Western Europe, as soon even as Spring 1961, to settle the subjects to be prepared by the working groups, and the actual composition of these work ing groups. To these meetings would be invited, not only the Presidents and Secretaries of the Commissions concerned, but also those persons called upon to as sist in working groups. Commission I suggest that the first Monday of each Congress should be devoted by the Tech nical Commissions to the pre paration of the organised (panel) discussions, and that all those interested should be so informed in ample time. concerning the technical activities of Commission l Commission 1 recommend the adoption, for general reference and for use. particularly in publications, the document en titled “Recommended Procedures for Calibrating Photogrammetric Cameras and for Related Optical Tests”, as modified during the London Congress. Without wishing to dictate to those who will have charge of pre paring the next Congress, and particularly those who will be formulating the programme called for above for 1961, Commission I draw attention to the particular interest of the following points: a. Determination of the quality and constants of air photographs taken under conditions to be defin ed in a recommendation by the ISP and over the specially prepar ed polygons. La Commission I souhaite également que soient organisées à l’intention des usagers de la pho- togrammétrie, des conférences d'intérêt général sur des sujets di rectement liés à leur préoccu pations professionelles courantes. La Commission I souhaite que ses réunions officielles n’aient pas lieu en même temps que celles des Commissions II, III, et IV. La Commission I. reconnaissan te à la Société belge de photogram- métrie d’avoir organisé les journées préparatoires de Bruxelles, sou haite que des journées soient orga nisées en Europe occidentale dès le printemps de 1961 pour déter miner les sujets à préparer par des groupes de travail ainsi que la composition de ces groupes de travail. A ces réunions seraient invités, non seulement le Président et le Secrétaire des commissions in téressées, mais aussi les personna lités appelées à constituer les groupes de travail. La Commission 1 souhaite que le premier lundi du Congrès soit consacré par les commissions tech niques à la préparation des dis cussions organisées (panels) et que cela soit porté à la connaissance des intéressés en temps utile. Resolution 2 (Commission l) concernant l'activité technique de la Commission I La Commission I recommande que soit adopté, comme référence à utiliser d’une manière générale et notamment dans les publica tions, le document intitulé „Mé thodes recommandées pour l’éta lonnage des chambres de prise de vues”, tel qu’il a été modifié pen dant le Congrès de Londres. Sans vouloir imposer sa volonté à ceux qui auront la charge de préparer le prochain congrès et notamment à ceux qui définiront le programme demandé plus haut pour 1961, la Commission I attire l’attention sur l’intérêt des points suivants: a. Détermination de la qualité et de la mesure des photographies aériennes prises dans des conditi ons qui seraient définies par une recommandation approuvée par la S IP et au-dessus de polygones spécialement équipés. Die Kommission I hat den Wunsch, dass die offiziellen Sit zungen Themen gewidmet werden, welche von allgemeinem Interesse sind und sich mehr auf die prak tische Berufsarbeit des Photo grammeters beziehen. Die Kommission I hat den Wunsch dass die offiziellen Sitzun gen der Kommission nicht abge halten werden, in derselben Zeit als die der Kommissionen II, III oder IV. Die Kommission I dankt der Belgischen Gesellschaft für Pho togrammetrie für die Organisation der vorbereitenden Tagung in Brüssel; sie macht den Vorschlag, dass etwa in Frühjahr 1961 ähn liche Zusammenkünfte stattfinden, wo die Arbeitsthemen bestimmt und entsprechende Arbeitsgrup pen gebildet werden sollen. An den Zusammenkünften sollen ausser dem Präsidenten und dem Sekre tär der Kommission all die Fach leute teilnehmen, die zur Mit arbeit in einer Arbeitsgruppe ge eignet erscheinen. Die Kommission 1 hat den Wunsch, dass die Kommissionen den ersten Montag des nächsten Kongresses der Vorbereitung der Diskussionen (Panels) widmen und zu diesem Zweck die Teilnehmer vorher einberufen. bezüglich der technischen Tätig keit in der Kommission I Die Kommission 1 schlägt vor, dass die Empfehlungen bezüglich der Kalibierung photogrammetri scher Kammern sowie der Durch führung der dazugehörigen opti schen Prüfungen als Leitfaden für die praktische Arbeit sowie bei Veröffentlichungen verwendet werden, und zwar in der Fassung, wie sie in London nochmals über arbeitet wurden. Für die weitere Kommissions arbeit sollen folgende Vorschläge gemacht werden, ohne damit jedoch der Vorbereitung des näch sten Kongresses sowie den für 1961 vorgeschlagenen Zusammen künften vorgreifen zu wollen: a. Bestimmung der Bildqualität und der geometrischen Genauig keit der Luftphotographie, und zwar über Festpunktfeldern und unter Bedingungen wie sie von der ISP vorgeschlagen werden.
