The necessity of obtaining from the manufacturers of new air na vigation equipment, or from the users of such equipment, firm results of flights carried out under operational conditions, such as photo plots, mean deviation from parallel of the strips, maximum and minimum overlap, etc. c. The establishment, following a detailed study, which would be published, of a method recom mended by the ISP for the selec tion and training of stereoscopic observers. d. The compilation, by a speci alised working group acting in collaboration with the principal institutes possessing laboratories, of information regarding photo graphic emulsions and bases. e. The theoretical and practical study of the quality of the image by a working group by means of collaboration with scientific re search workers and a thorough examination of new work, litera ture and research, with the view to presenting photogrammetrists with information adapted to their prac tical needs. Commission Considerable progress has been made since the Stockholm Con gress in the application of elec tronics and of numerical methods to the design of photogrammetric instruments. Continuing efforts should be made to achieve further progress in this field, particularly towards greater automation and integrated photogrammetric data processing systems. a. All information on accuracy should be expressed in clear and well-defined terms. This informa tion should include data indica ting its reliability, e.g. the number of redundant observations. b. It is recommended that a glos sary of the terms and expressions used in the theory of errors should b. Poursuite, par un groupe de travail, des études théoriques et pratiques concernant la qualité de l’image, sous forme de collabora tion avec des chercheurs scientifi ques, d’examen approfondi des ouvrages et revues et de recher ches nouvelles, en vue d’offrir aux photogrammètres des informations adaptées à leurs besoins pratiques. II - Plotting, Theory and Résolution 3 (Commission II) Un progrès considérable a été fait depuis le Congrès de Stock holm dans l’application de l’élec tronique et des méthodes numéri ques en vue de la réalisation d’instruments de photogrammé- trie. Les efforts doivent être pour suivis pour que les progrès s’af firment dans ce domaine, particu lièrement en ce qui concerne une plus grande automaticité et la réalisation de procédés d’intégra tion des données photogrammé triques. Resolution 4 (Commission II) a. Tous les renseignements sur la précision doivent être donnés en termes clairs et bien définis. Ces renseignements devraient être ac compagnés de données qui préci sent leur valeur, par exemple, le nombre d’observations surabon dantes. b. Il est recommandé d’établir un lexique donnant, dans les dif férentes langues, les termes et ex- b. Von einer besonderen Arbeits gruppe sollen, in Zusammenarbeit mit Instituten, die geeignete Labo ratorien besitzen, alle Angaben über die Eigenschaften der Emul sionen und der Emulsionsträger gesammelt werden. e. Die theoretischen und prakti schen Studien über die Qualität des photographischen Bildes sol len von einer Arbeitsgruppe in Zusammenarbeit mit Fachleuten und durch Zusammenfassung der gesamten Literatur, eingeschlossen die neuesten Untersuchungen, fortgesetzt werden, mit dem Ziel, den Photogrammetern die für ihre praktische Arbeit nötigen Unter lagen zu liefern. Instruments Seit dem Stockholmer Kongress sind beachtliche Fortschritte in der Anwendung der Elektronik sowie numerischer Methoden bei der Konstruktion photogramme trischer Instrumente gemacht wor den. Es sollten fortgesetzte An strengungen gemacht werden, auf diesem Gebiet weitere Fortschrit te zu erzielen, mit dem besonderen Augenmerk auf grössere Automa tion und vervollständigte Systeme zur Verarbeitung photogramme trischer Daten. a. Jede Genauigkeitsangabe soll in klaren und gut definierten Aus drücken gegeben werden. Diese Angabe soll Daten beinhalten, die Aufschluss über ihre Zuverlässig keit geben, z.B. die Anzahl von überschüssigen Beobachtungen. b. Es wird empfohlen, dass für den internationalen Gebrauch in den bedeutenden Sprachen ein
