photographs are taken around the targeted object by 
long focus length camera and a number of distances 
between targets are measured by the standard steel 
tape. Then the photogrammetric model was reconstructed 
and the shape of product was computed. The accuracy of 
measurement of the linear magnitudes and of the -defor 
mations of the surfaces prefabricated wall products 
were - 1 mm and 0.2 - 0.5 mm respectively and of 
contact surfaces of the ship J s individual segments 
was 1/7000 of the size of contact. 
The economical effects do not depend on the 
saving of time and cost of measurement but on the possi 
bility of periodical control and correction of the shape 
of cast in which the prefabricated products are formed. 
The investigation performed in the Institut of Photo- 
grammetry and Cartography in Warsaw Technical Uni 
versity have found that photogrammetric measurement 
of the cast /form/ is not economical and the examina 
tion of same series of prefabricated products is more 
effective /4/. The investigation carried out for 
ship-building industry shows the possibility of 
constructing larger ships when the successive parts 
of ship are constructed in the same dock and 
then they are connected in the water# For this 
purpose, the actual contact surfaces of the individual 
segments of the ship should be determined in order 
to ensure the greatest possible precision of the 
production of such cooperated parts.

2.4. The examination of prototype of engineering 
constructions 
The usufullness of photogrammetry in this type 
of applications depends on the possibility of determina 
tion of the prototype parameters and correcting its 
construction before the batch production. In this 
section three experiments will be presented: 
a/ the determination of the spatial deformations of 
prototypes of different types of cranes loaded with
