from the photos and by means of the special mask the bright -
ness matrices were smoothed for minimizing the effect of minor
random defects 0
The result of restoration of the relief of the selected
area is shown in Fig 0 5#The height isolines are spaced 5 m apart.
The design map was compared with the check one with the use of
the network of control points 0 The mean square deviation of
heights for the given area amounted to <o -± 4,5 m

topographic maps has shown its viability and applicability for
mapping the territories which are uniform in optical terms
