ZUSAMMENFASSUNG:
Seit 1997 finden im Bereich Yozgat, einer Stadt in Zentralanatolien, an deren Stelle sich Tavium, die ehemalige Hauptstadt des
Hettitherreichs befand, archäologische Forschungen statt. Der Artikel befasst sich mit den Vorbereitungsarbeiten für zukünftige
Ausgrabungen im ehemaligen Stadtbereich, und zwar aus der Sicht der raumbezogenen Informationsverarbeitung. Ergebnisse aus
verschiedenen Arbeitsbereichen werden vorgestellt, und zwar die Einrichtung eines räumlichen Bezugssystems, die Vereinigung von
raumbezogenen Daten aus verschiedenen Quellen, wobei die Rolle von digitalen Geländemodellen besonders berücksichtigt wird,
und, schlussendlich, der Entwurf und die Realisierung einer Internet-Präsentation, um den Informationsaustausch zwischen den
Projektbeteiligten und anderen interessierten Personen zu unterstützen und zu fördern. Der Leser erhält eine Vorstellung, wie sich
Daten aus unterschiedlichen Quellen mit verschiedenen räumlichen Eigenschaften in demselben räumlichen Informationssystem
verknüpfen und die daraus gewonnenen Informationen in einem webbasierten Informationssystem integrieren lassen.
Turkey. Since 1997 archaeological research has taken place in

ABSTRACT:
Since 1997 archaeological research has taken place in the area of Yozgat, a central Anatolian city where Tavium, the ancient capital
of the Hittite Empire was located. The article deals with the preparatory work for future excavations in the area of the ancient city
terrain models and, finally, design and implementation of an Internet presentation to support and promote information exchange
with divergent spatial properties in one spatial information system and how to integrate this information in a web-based overall
