PROGRAMMES TO THE ADJUSTMENT OF AERIAL
TRIANGULATION STRIPS
1 — AIM AND POSSIBILITIES OF UTILIZATION
The purpose of these programmes is the adjustment of strips by aerial levelling.
The adjustment of strips having a complete support of control points at the
begining and at the end and with one or two intermediary control points is foreseen.
A complete support is considered that permiting the definition of y, z, scale,
azimuth and levelling of a model.
The programmes still admit the aerial levelling with the introduction of statoscope
data and with Bz = constant, with the possibility, in this case, of the introduction
of the statoscope data in the calculations.
The initial model must be correctly oriented in height and the planimetric coordi
nates can be referred to any system.
2 —METHODS UTILIZED IN THE ADJUSTMENT
2.1 — HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
The height adjustment is performed independently of the planimetric and it is
based in the differences of longitudinal inclination of each camera in the orien
tation of the two models to whose formation it contributes.
The residual error according Z and the error of transversal inclination (O) are
linearly distributed between the control points.
To the determination of the correction polygon, based in the values of A</>, it is
admited that its value, exempt from error is the average of all the A</> found in
each strip.
