1. Introduction

Important pecuriality of analytical photogrammetry compared
conventional mechanical method is that in the former case the data
obtained by measurements are less modified by human organs than in the
latter. And so the chances of mistakes or errors are far more less in
the former case. And in the analytical case these mistakes or errors
are detected very rapidly by electronic computer. Conversely, electronic
computer discriminates the qualities of the raw materials made through
the human organ, so called stereo-viewing. Stereo-viewing is a very
high grade faculty of animals, but it seems that it has much ambiguities,
freedoms, personal unequalities and unsteadiness. And we could not
trust upon the personal skill of stereo-viewing, especially in commer
cial routine work where it is preferable to depend upon as many un
skilled operators and as few skillful ones as possible. Such conditions
require the traces of points on dia-positives where the measurements
were accurately made on. And this requirement leads to the system -
so called ’’pricking device and monocular comparator” which we adopted
as sown in the title of this paper.
This system is useful for finding the true cause of mistakes or
errors of measurements which are revealed as inadequate results by
electronic computer, that is, at which side the response of the mistake
or the error has to be laid on, pricking device or mono-comparator.
And by repetitions of the same kinds of operations, not for special work
but as a ordinary routine work, for confined number of points appointed
as wrong by electronic computer, mistakes are rejected and errors are
gradually reduced with the progresses of the skills of various operations.
And thus the quality of the results are being steadily improved.
