Abstract 
In order to foster a more wide-spread application of auxiliary data, a summary 
is first given of the types of auxiliary equipment currently available. The 
purpose of auxiliary data is then discussed together with its economic 
consequences and its fields of application. This paper concludes with an exami 
nation of the theoretical height accuracy after aerial triangulation, with or 
without the use of various auxiliary information.

L'article commence par une description sommaire des principaux moyens auxiliaires 
d'orientation en cours de vol actuellement disponibles. L'utilité et les possi 
bilités d'application de ces moyens auxiliaires sont discutés ensuite, avec un 
accent spécial sur l'aspect économique, Finalement, des indications sont fournies 
sur les précisions altimétriques théoriques susceptibles d'être atteintes avec ou 
sans données auxiliaires. L'intérêt de ces dernières s'étend à nombre de triangu 
lations aériennes, pourvu qu'il soit mieux compris. 
Zusammenfassung 
Um eine weitere Verbreitung der Verwendung von Hilfsdaten anzuregen, wird zuerst 
eine Zusammenfassung der derzeit zur Verfügung stehenden Möglichkeiten gegeben. 
Im folgenden werden der Zweck der Hilfsdaten, ihre Anwendungsmöglichkeiten und 
die wirtschaftlichen Konsequenzen diskutiert. 
Die Arbeit schliesst mit einer Übersicht über die theoretische Höhengenauigkeit 
nach Aerotriangulation und Ausgleichung - ohne und mit Benützung verschiedener 
Hilfsdaten.
