Application of photogrammetry in medicine:
a) Application in medicine and anthropology.

The first necessary step is the work of the composition of the circular of inquiry to be
sent to the national Societies of Photogrammetry for the establishment of the report of
the Commission V. We therefore ask you to send your suggestions for the inquiry to us
as soon as possible and not later than June Ist 1951. During July we intend to make the
inquiry. The answers of the inquiry should reach us before the end of the year 1951.

The Commission Vi and Vg from the congress in the Hague were subse-
quently turned into one commission, Commission V.
The following questionnaire was worked out in English and French:
Questionnaire for Commission V.
1. Name ways in which photogrammetry is used in your country in addition to ordinary
mapping purposes. The answer should be made with reference to the program of
Commission V which you have already received. The increased use of microphotogram-
metry et al, not included in the program, should be borne in mind. Publications?
2. What new fields of use have been discovered since the Hague congress of 1948?
3. In what manner has this special photogrammetric work been organized in your country?
a) As research work and, in that case, where? >
b) As administrative enterprises? Which are they?
4. Is there, in your country, any particular instruction or training organization within
this special branch of photogrammetry?
5. Special instruction literature?
6. Do you consider that there would be any interest in your country in having a transla-
tion made of professor Lacmann's book: Die Photogrammetrie in ihrer Anwendung
auf nicht-topographischen Gebieten? If so, can any contribution for the translation be
counted on from your country?
7. Give a short description of any new methods for photography and plotting within
the bounds of the commission.
8. What is your opinion on the importance of X-ray photogrammetry?
Reply is expected before December 1, 1951. Notice of any paper to be read is to be
given simultaneously. This notice should contain information as to the lecturer's name
and complete address (block letters) and. also the title of the paper. The paper should
not take more than 20 minutes to read. A fairly complete summary of the paper should
be mailed (at least 200 copies) before March 1952.

questionnaire was compiled.

grammetry in Commission V, complementary to the questionnaire earlier transmitted.
Forestry photogrammetry attracts more and more attention and it is justified to discuss
also questions belonging to this branch at the congress.
