JULY 1951.

A stenciled edition of the original reports will be obtainable in 200 copies
at Commission V at the congress in Washington.
Question No. 1.
Name ways in which photogrammetry is used in your country besides
for ordinary mapping purposes. The answers should be made with refe-
rence to the program for Commission V, which you have already received.
The increased use of microphotogrammetry et al., not included in the pro-
gram, should be borne in mind. Publications?
Austria:
Stereophotogrammetric photography and plotting is used for volume
estimation in quarries and coal-heaps, for investigations in connection with
building enterprises (damming), further for determination of storage etc.,
experimental work in the architectonic domain, close-up and micro photo-
grammetry, photogrammetric measurements on models (hydraulics), tests
to estimate timbervolume by aerial pictures.
