WIDEROE’S FLYVESELSKAP OG POLARFLY A/S

In 1935 Wider0e’s Flyveselskap og Polarfly A/S established a depart
ment for photogrammetrical aerial survey, and specialized in photography
for aerial survey and the construction of large and medium scale maps. Since
then, the company has held a contract with the Norwegian Government, and
has done all air photography for the official mapping of Norway. All air photo
graphy for civilian air survey in Norway has also been carried out by this
company.
Equipment.
The company possesses the following equipment for aerial survey:
Aircraft: Two Airspeed Oxford.
Cameras: Two Wild RC5, both with Aviogon and Aviotar lenses, focal length
210 mm and 114,5 mm.
Plotting instruments: 2 Wild A6, 1 Wild A8, 1 Wild A5 and 2 Wild A7.
Near Fornebu Airfield at Oslo the company has constructed a building
specialized for photogrammetrical laboratories with sections for plotting and
drawing, mosaic-making, darkrooms and administration. The company’s film
library now consists of 175.000 air photographs.
