During the years of 1952—1954 the Land Survey Organization drew
estate and town planning maps of aggregate area of 61 400 ha. by geo
detic and photogrammetric methods of which the latter were used for
some 31 400 ha. or about 50 % of the total area.
Corresponding statistics are not available in respect of maps for re
allotments and similar purposes, but the proportion for which photo
grammetric methods have been used is estimated at about 40 %.
The Organization of the Photogrammetric Activities. The Land Sur
vey Organization is explained in Fig. 2.
The Land Survey Board conducts and controls the plotting activities
of all its subordinate organizations, and superintends all urban survey
ing work.
The chief surveyors conduct and control all surveying work in their
respective counties.
The surveyors of the Rural Survey Organizations among others con
duct the drawing of maps.
