The Stereocartograph IV. This completely universal first order triangulating
and plotting instrument employs mechanical reconstruction of the
perspective rays and is of the highest order of precision, the root mean
square height error normally lying between 0-05 and 0-07 per thousand of
the flying height when it is used with good quality photographs.
Diapositive size: up to 23 cm. x 23 cm.
Focal length of projectors: variable from 100 mm. to 215 mm.
Corrections for lens distortion, earth curvature, and refraction, are applied
by a cam.
Optional ancillary equipment: digital coordinate recorder, tape punch-
out and altimétrie section-drawing equipment.
The Stereosimplex III. The Stereosimplex III is designed primarily as a
first order plotter, having the same standard of accuracy as the Stereo
cartograph IV but with certain less frequently used features omitted.
Consequently for a plotter with its versatility and precision it is moderate
in price.
Diapositive size: up to 23 cm. x 23 cm.
Focal length of projectors: variable from 100 mm. to 200 mm.
Earth curvature, refraction and taking lens corrections applied by means
of a cam.
Accommodates vertical, oblique or moderately convergent photographs.
Wide range of carriage movements (max. Z = 500 mm.) permits a large
model scale.
The Stereosimplex II. A second order plotting instrument capable of
accommodating vertical, oblique or terrestrial photographs, this instru
ment is simple in design and ideal for training photogrammetric operators
as well as achieving a high rate of production plotting.

Diapositive size: up to 10 cm. x 10 cm. (Larger size photographs may
be reduced by any appropriate reduction printer.)
Focal length of projectors: variable from 62 mm. to 85 mm.
Accuracy: root mean square height error less than ± 0-20 per thousand of
the flying height.
Plotting scales: may be varied from model scale by means of a precise
pantograph working on an auxiliary table.
The Stereosimplex IIB. For those who require to plot from vertical
photography only, the simplified version of the Stereosimplex II has the
latter’s ease of operation and accuracy but consequent upon its simplifica
tion it is, for a second order plotter, very moderate in price.
The details of accuracy, diapositive size and focal lengths of projectors are
as for the Stereosimplex II.
The Stereomicrometer. This is a third order plotter designed for use where
high accuracy is not required and economy of first cost is important.
Photographic prints or diapositives obtained from any modern camera
may be used in this equipment which has a very rapid rate of output. A
battery of these small, inexpensive instruments is an efficient complement
to more elaborate higher order machines. Its price and ease of operation
make it an attractive proposition to educational authorities concerned
with teaching photogrammetry.
The Stereoscope SFG 3. For the rapid scanning and accurate interpretation
of detail this stereo-viewing instrument is ideal. It has two viewing
magnifications—1-5 x and 4-5 x the photographic scale. Two instru
ments may be dovetailed into each other back to back, a very useful
characteristic when discussion on interpretation is required or when
training interpretation staff.
The Universal Reduction Printer RFG 3. A reduction printer designed to
produce diapositives of the size necessary for any plotting instrument.
Maximum negative size which can be accommodated is 23 cm. x23 cm.
Two lenses permit reduction ratios within the ranges 1 : 1 -15 to 1 : 2-0 and
1 : 4-5 and 1 : 6-8 giving resultant diapositive sizes of from 20 cm. x 20 cm.
to 3-3 cm. x 3-3 cm.
The Model VI Aerial Camera. One of the most recent additions to the
Galileo-Santoni range of photogrammetric equipment is this camera
fitted with a 6 in. f/5-6 wide angle lens.

Film length: up to 360 ft.
