Remarks i) Use of three band data leads to a more accurate cla-
ssification of the following pairs of categories
mature paddy (Al1.3) and sugarcane well grown (A2.3);
paddy well grown (A1.2) and sugarcane well grown(A2.3)
ii) On the contrary, the three band data leads to a com-
pletely erroneous classification of paddy freshly
planted (Al.1) and sugarcane well grown (A2.3). How-
ever, note that for the same categories, any combi-
nation of two-band data yields more accurate classi-
fication results. It is not clear why more "informa-
tion" has led to less accurate classification.
