THE IMPORTANCE OF A RESCUABLE, TRANSPORTABLE EMERGENCY INTERVENTION 
PLOTTER AT THE PRESERVATION OF MONUMENTS

Abstract 
There is an urgent request for a transportable, small plotter for 
emergency interventions, inventory of art objects, research work, 
expeditions, model building, factual statements at the preservation of 
monuments, criminal investigations, traffic, and mass examinations. 
The plotter should not go out of adjustment, it should be operable without 
mains electric supply, it should be easily transportable and not too 
expensive. 
As a matter of course, this plotter will provide less precise survey 
measurement than one would expect from larger instruments. 
Zeiss (Oberkochen) has now met with the user's requirements by a further 
development and improvement of the Stereocord.
