ABSTRACT
In Jena an equipment for measurement of MTF on high-
performance lenses in aerial survey cameras is used, which
is working by the principle of slit-image-analysis. The
whole measuring process is controlled by a digital computer
storing point-by-point the slit-image-function being
transformed by Fourier-analysis afterwards. With this
method the MTF was measured on the new designed lenses of
VEB Carl Zeiss JENA of types "Pinatar !/125" for the cosmic
multispectralphotography and on the wide-angle-lens of
type "Lamegon PI 4,5/150".
The new Lamegon lens possesses an essential improvement
of performance in contract to the predecessor lens especially
in the image field.
The MTF-ouryes of Pinatar show, that this lens is
nearly an aperture limited lens and has a resolution of
about 300 L/mm. The measuring method has a high accuracy
up to this spatial frequency.
