Abstract:
In Jena an equipment for neasurement of MTF on high-
performance lenses in aerial survey cameras is used,
which is working by the principle of slit-image
analysis. The whole measuring process is controlled
by a digital computer storing point-by-point the slit-
Spread function being transformed by Fourier analysis
afterwards. With this method the MTF was measured on
the new designed lenses of VEB Carl Zeiss JENA of
types "Pinatar 4/125" for the cosmic multispectral-
photography and on the wide-angle lens of type
"Lamecon PI 4.5/450".
The Lamegon lens possesses a high performance
eSpecially in the image field.
The MTF curves of Pinatar show that this lens is
nearly an aperture limited lens and has a resolution
of about 300 L/mm. The measuring method has a high
accuracy up to this spatial frequency.
