ABSTRACT
This papers shows a work which is being developed by DAC-(Departamento de Assistencia ao
Cooperativismo da Secretaria da Agricultura do Rio Grande do Sul) and farmers from some Rio Grande
do Sul townships. It is about using remote sensing that were colonizated by farmers.
Nowadays, FUNAI - Institution that befriends Indians dues - request these lands to them. However, this
request is a legal problem to the State because they were sold to farmers to be colonized with the INCRA
acceptance. So, DAC has been trying to find a way to solve this problem, using tools and techniques to
optimize the delimitation and the use of these areas, even with the possibility of new land to Indians or
farmers.
