International Archives of the Photogrammetry, R 
The positive results achieved in the EU-funded development 
and research project GiMoDig confirm the feasibility of the 
approach. A prototype four-nation cross-border GML data 
service has been developed providing data in the common data 
model (GiMoDig Global Schema) and in the common 
coordinate system (ETRS89). Various different mobile map 
services have been built on top of this base service 10 
demonstrate the potential end-user applications enabled by the 
real-time data integration.
