Chairman, Session on Periodicals 
Gerd Hildebrandt is Professor of Forestry and Director 
of the Department of Airphoto Interpretation within 
the Forstry Institute at the University of Freiburg, 
FR Germany. He is currently President of the German 
Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing. For the 
term 1976 - 1980, Dr. Hildebrandt has been President 
of Commission VII, International Society for Photo- 
grammetry. 
  
Rapporteur, Session on Periodicals 
Simeon O. Ihemadu is currently Director of the 
Regional Centre for Training in Aerial Surveys 
at Ile- Ife, Nigeria, an international insti- 
tution under tha auspieces of the UN Economic 
Commission for Africa. He holds a doctor degree 
from Moscow and has a good number of publications 
in reputable scientific journals. 
  
Taichi Oshima is Professor and Director of the Institute 
of Surveying, Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing at Hosei 
University in Tokyo, Japan. He graduated from Nagoya 
University of Technology and Nihon University. He obtained 
the doctor degree from the University of Tokyo. Dr.Oshima 
works on several subjects of research. He is also 
engaged in the international exchange program of Hosei 
University with the USA.
