STANDARDS OF COM PE TENCE FOR ARCHITECTS

ABSTRACT
A report was promised to be delivered on a detailed syllabus covering
photogrammetry for architects. This accomplishment, being an advanced
preliminary stage of Standards of Competence, has been endorsed by CIPA
(International Committee on Photogrammetry in Architecture) for earth-
wide use.
Hans Foramitti deceased most unexpectedly on 6 June 1982.
He was director of the photogrammetric department
of the Austrian Federal Office for Monuments in
Vienna. He authored some 100 scientific books and
papers. He lectured in many countries of all continents.
He was co-founder of CIPA (Comité International
de Photogrammétrie Architecturale). He chaired UNESCO-
ICOMOS. Hans Foramitti was certainly an outstanding
and distinguished colleague with earthwide reputation
on the capabilities of photogrammetry for architecture.
