PROFESSIONAL STRATEGY
Chairman :
R. Oluwole Coker worked as surveyor in the civil ser-
vice in Nigeria, where he retired as the Director of
Federal Surveys. He was educated at Colleges in Nigeria
and at the University College London, England, where he
obtained the B.Sc.(Hons) in mathematics and the post
graduate diploma in surveying. He serves as President
of the lligerian Institution of Surveyors. He is Presi-
dent of the Commission for Geodesy in Africa of the
International Association of Geodesy, and President of
the Inter African Committee on Surveys and Maps of the
Scientific Technical and Research Commission of the
Organisation of African Unity.
Rapporteur :
Douglas Glendinning is Superintendent, Mapping Branch,
Department of Lands and Surveys, Perth, Western Australia.
He has trained in cartography and is a Photogrammetry
Graduate of the ITC, Netherlands. He has contributed to
the work of the ISPRS for many years and was Working
Group Chairman in 1976 - 1980. As a Divisional President
of the Australian Institute of Cartographers he is
part of the Organising Committee for the 1904 ICA
Congress in Perth.
