Chairman : 
Gottfried Konecny is Professor of Photogrammetry 
at the University of Hannover, FR Germany. He was 
for several years Dean of the Surveying Department 
of the University of New Brunswick, Canada. He holds 
degrees from the Technical University Munich, from 
Ohio State University, and an honorary degree from 
The University of Tucumán, Argentine. He is Secretary 
General of the International Society for Photogram- 
metry and Remote Sensing for the term 1980 - 1984. 
  
Rapporteur: 
Ann Stewart of San Francisco is Editor of the ITC Journal 
and Head of the Publications Department of the International 
Institute for Aerial Surveys and Earth Sciences, Enschede, 
Netherlands. Her undergraduate degree and postgraduate 
studies were in political science and economic history - 
which have proved quite useless in such disciplines as 
photogrammetry. Her experience with large data banks 
includes a medical reference system (computer coded with 
microfiche storage) and a European system on hydrocarbon 
reserves, exploration and production.
