Wissenschaftler quantitative Messungen ueber Waldbrandverhalten, welche
Waldbrandbekaempfung.
INTRODUCTION
Use of infrared (IR) imagery for gathering forest fire intelligence
of various kinds is not new. The U.S. Forest Service (Hirsch et al. 1968)
reported on research and development work they have conducted since 1962 into
improved systems of forest fire mapping, and Hirsch et al. (1971) described a
sophisticated advancement over their earlier efforts with the completion of a
bispectral infrared forest fire detection system. Kondratyev et al. (1972)
described Soviet research work on forest fire detection and mapping using IR
scanning systems. In Canada a commercially available "AFDS-3 Firemapper"
