successful photography can be performed only during the period July 15th— 
September 1st. 
Nevertheless the aerial photogrammetry is generally recognized as the 
only efficient method available for speeding up the mapping of the country. 
In the following, one will find separate reports from The Geographical 
Survey of Norway, The Norwegian Polar Institute, The Forest Survey (of the 
Ministry of Agriculture) and Wideroes Flyveselskap og Polarfly a/s. 
A review of the accuracy of large and medium scale maps is given at the 
end of this report.
