Duration of studies: There are four-year courses in all departments.
Graduation from one of the departments normally gives the right to the
title ”Civilingenjör”.
A higher examination, called ”teknisk licentiatexamen” (Tekn. L.),
can be taken after two years of supplementary study in two
subjects. Having obtained the degree of Tekn. L. a person may proceed
to obtain the degree Doctor of Technology (Tekn. D.). For this degree
he has to write a doctor’s dissertation and defend it in a public dispu-
tation. The dissertation is judged by the Administrative Board.
Organisation:
The Rector is elected by the Administrative Board for 4 years. Ac-
ting: Ragnar Woxén, Prof., Tekn. D.
The Administrative Board consists of all the regular professors.
The Executive Committee consists of the heads of all the Depart-
ments.
