A tilfing platen (fig, 8) is also being tested for determining angles of slopes
in stereoscopic models of the multiplex type. The platen is raised or lowered to an
appropriate level in the stereoscopic model and is then tilted to coincide with the
slope desired. This is a true angle of slope that can be read on a clinometer.
