ENTWURF EINES MEHRSTUFIGEN STICHPROBENMODELLS FÜR GROSSRAUMIGE WALDINVENTUREN 
MIT HILFE VON FERNERKUNDUNGSAUFZEICHNUNGEN

Zusammenfassung 
Für groBr&áumige forstwirtschaftliche und forstpolitische Entscheidungen wurde ein 
dreistufiges Stichprobenmodell mit Hilfe von Satellitenaufzeichnungen, kleinmaB- 
stüblichen Luftbildern und terrestrischen MeBpunkten entwickelt. Methodisch handelt 
es sich dabei um eine Kambination von pps-Verfahren (propability proportional to size) 
auf der ersten und intensiven Stratifizierung mit Hilfe eines orthogonalen Punkte- 
gitters auf der zweiten und dritten Stufe. Auf diese Weise ist es móglich, die Vor- 
teile des pps-Verfahrens zu nutzen und dennoch gleichzeitig mehrere voneinander 
unabhängige Merkmale zu erfassen. 
Summary 
MULTISTAGE SAMPLING DESIGN FOR LARGE AREA FOREST INVENTORIES IN CENTRAL EUROPE 
A multistage sampling design using Landsat imagery, small scale aerial photographs 
(1:50.000) and field work was designed for large aeria forest inventories and 
forest politics purposes. The developed methology was a combination of pps (pro- 
pability prop. to size) techniques used in the first stage, as well as a very intensive 
stratification with aid of an orthogonal dotgrid design in the second and third sta- 
ges. In this way, it was possible to take advantage of the pps-methode and coamcami- 
tantly carry out multi-purposes inventories.

Un modèle d'échantillonage à trois niveaux à été développe pour la planification 
dans le domaines de l'éconamie et de l'administration forestières, a l'aide de 
relevés par satellite, de vues aériennes à une échelle de 1:50.000, et de repères au 
sol. 
Du point de vue de la méthode, il s'agit ici d'une combinaison du procéde pps (propa- 
bility proportional to size) au premier niveau, et d'une stratification intensive 
aux deuxième et troisieme niveaux, au moyen d'un système orthogonal de coordonnees. 
De cette fagon, il devient donc possible de tirer profit des avantages du procéde pps,

tout en reunissant plusieurs caracteristiques indépendantes les unes des autres.
