parator as follows. Let both camera of A7 be
horizontal, and giving adequate b,, we remove the
vertical parallax by b, of the right camera and
horizontal parallax by z, for each point indepen-
dently. Then the photograpic coordinates (x, yD)
of left camera are given by
nua og,
2 z
Vi - —Jo d
where (x, y) are the measured coordinates and
(X», Vo) are that of the principal point of the photo-
graph.
The photographic coordinates (x, y») of the
right camera are given by
X3—X,—b, /
2
yey +L
for base inside. For base outside b. becomes
negative.
Though this method has some advantages, it
seems it has less accuracy than the method of
independent measurement. Because it is quite
natural that measurments by five movements X,
y, Z, b, and b,, may have more chances to intro-
duce errors than that by two movement x and y,
only.
2. The equation of conformal transformation
(6) can be reformed as follows,
X=Xo+Ax—By+(Cx—Dy)x—(Dx+Cy)y
Y=Y,+Bx+Ay+ (Dx+Cy)x+ (Cx—Dy)y.
In this equation we may assume that.
AX — AM x cos 40 — AM y sin 40
AY — AM x sin 40 4- AM y cos 40
and it follows at once
4M? — (C? D?) (x? - y?).
For more accurate computation, this correction
factor of scale shall be introduced in equation (5)
for absolute orientation.
