Result of that working group was the first draft of the cadastral 
object oriented data model. Consultants from LGN and other 
German consultants had big influence and made large 
contribution to creation of the first draft of cadastral object

That draft data model was the base for the cadastral part of 
Croatian — Norwegian project CRONOGIP which is going on. 
Under CRONOGIP project there will be a massive 
transformation of existing cadastral maps in digital form. 
After developing the draft data model the next steps are now in 
process. These were projects like the Cadastral presentation 
model (SGA and Faculty of Geodesy) and the description of 
cadastral data model in standard computer language (SGA and 
GEOFOTO) according to ISO and OGC norms. 
Under the Real Estate Registration and Cadastre Project 
financed by World Bank Loan it will be activity for 
establishment of the Land Information Data Base (LIDB) which 
is prescribed in Croatian legislative. Activities on this project 
will help to solve a part of the problems that will appear in 
defining and implementation of LIDB. 
This cadastral data model will be one big stone in the puzzle 
creating the future Land Information Data Base for cadastre and 
the land book registry. 
4.5 Cadastral implementation project Solta 
On the base of the results conducted on the Cadastral Pilot 
Project Labin, the Cadastral Implementation Project on the 
Island of Solta started. During the Project in Labin there were 
contacts and negotiations with the Municipality of Solta to start 
cadastral project on island. GTZ had already launched another 
project on the island about urban planning and sustainable 
development on the Island of Solta. During that project a need 
for accurate and reliable topographic and cadastral maps 
appeared. 
Initiatives came from GTZ and the Municipality of Solta. 
Today on the Island of Solta there are following activities: 
e production of digital terrain model and digital orthophoto 
for whole island (Geodetski zavod Split) — financed by 
GTZ — near by finishing, 
e cadastral survey of one cadastral municipality - Gornje 
Selo (Geodetski zavod Split) — financed by SGA and 
Municipality of Solta — in progress, 
e transformation of all cadastral maps that covers island in 
digital vector form (CADCOM) - financed by SGA and 
Municipality of Solta — finished. 
Cadastral Implementation Project Solta is one of examples how 
different project can influent each other and produce synergy 
effects. 
5. FUTURE ACTIVITIES 
On the base of conducted results in the first phase of the Project 
on Development of the Cadastre System in Croatia a second 
phase (two years) of the project is under preparation. 
In the second phase there will be two main directions for 
technical co-operation with several activities on each one. On 
one side there will be continuing of advising the central office 
of SGA on there daily problems (for example to establish the 
ordinance of real estate cadastre). 
On the other side the GTZ will concentrate their activities in the 
field of communal information system. After the town of Labin 
they want to spread these information also to other towns and 
municipalities. i 
As it is already known, the second phase will cover the 
following activities: 
e finishing renewal of land book for surveyed cadastral 
municipality in the Town of Labin and establishment of 
cadastre of real estate and new land book for that cadastral 
municipality, 
e implementation of developed communal information 
system for the Town of Labin administration and protocols 
for updating communal information system with 
maintained cadastral and land book data, 
e technical reambulation of existing cadastral data for two 
cadastral municipalities in the Town of Labin. That project 
already started with public procurement for services that 
will be preformed by private geodetic companies. 
e finishing cadastral survey and renewal of land book for 
surveyed cadastral municipality on the Island of Solta 
e usage of produced digital data for the purpose of urban 
planning and development of the Island of Solta
