ABSTRACT 
A notice from 1887 concerning aerialphoto-interpretation in fo 
restry is quoted in its original form and language. It is as 
far as it is known the oldest notice dealing with this matter. 
Dated from the same year is the high quality aerialphoto which 
is also printed in this paper. It has been taken near Berlin, 
Germany from a balloon. 
RESUME 
Un document concernant 1'interpréèation en foresterie d'une nho- 
tographie aérienne est ici présenté dans sa forme et sa langue 
originale. C'est le olus ancien document connu traitant de ce su 
jet. 
Une photographie aérienne de très bonne qualité, datant de la 
meme année est reproduit dans cette communication. Elle a été 
prése à partir d’un ballon dans une région proche de Berlin 
(Allemagne). 
ZUSAMMENFASSUNG 
Die älteste bekannte Mitteilung über eine forstliche Luftbildaus 
wertung - sie stammt aus dem Jahre 1887 - wird im vollen Wortlaut 
und originaler Form wiedergegeben. Aus dem gleichen Jahr stammt 
das qualitativ gute Luftbild, welches im Beitrag ebenfalls abge 
druckt ist. Das Luftbild wurde in der Nähe von Berlin aus einem 
Ballon aus aufgenommen.
