establish a connection between the stechometer and the ortophotoscop,
as well as with the other apparata for photogrametrie systems.
We are working also on an electronic connection between the stereo-
comparec and the home-made automatic registration device for
automation of the process of the numerical modelling.
The wide material and technical basis allows the elaboration of
some technological schemes of production, the performance of
research work and to help practice and the other educational
institutes for some practical exercises. The well organized
laboratory gives the possibility to hold qualification courses
for workers and specialists from other scientific teams.
At the end of the fourth year of education, the students of the
speciality "Geodesy, photogrametry and cartography" who receive
the problem for diploma work from the Chair "Photogrametry and
Cartography" are sent on production practice in the Research Institute
on Geodesy and Photogrametry and in the designing organization
"Geoplanproekt" where in the course of three weeks they perfrom
production photogrametric work ona modern level.
After finishing the last semester of their education and passing
the last exams on the studied subjects, the students get diploma
works with practical aspect. The diploma works are done independant-
ly under the quidance of the Chair for three months, after whifch
they are presented for final diploma exam before a State Exam
Commission, consisting of habilitated teachers in the faculty and
representatives from the production. The young specialists go to
work in the production organisations and administrations where they
get practical knowledge in the application of the photogrametric
methods for the respective purposes. A part of the dipl.engineers
with higher teoretical potential go to the Higher Institutes and
Research Institutes where they are entered for post-graduate
education and become doctors of technical sciences. Among them
appear young scientific workers who form the scientific teams on
photogrametry.
