For studying other sub-surface parameters of interest
to the coastal-zone planners, like the organic pro.»
ductivity and the salinity, there has been no effort
in Norway until recently towards using satellite rem
ote sensed data for this purpose. Results from abroad
indicate that there is a correlation between these
parameters and the surface temperature. Based upon
these results, today there exists plans in the Tromsp
remote sensing community for pilot projects related
to studies concerning the suitability of TM data for
such applications....
