The values of the distortion do not show significant deviations 
from 0. 
[t 1s obvious that the distortion effect as demonstrated in diagram 4 
mainly was caused by the x-inclination and latitude-distortion errors. 
Consequently, the adjustment situation of the instrument is very im- 
portant. The indicated method can be used for a check of this adjust- 
ment situation. 
The grid method can also be used for a complete determination of the 
inner orientation of all kinds of cameras. The inner orientation of 
aerial cameras can be conveniently determined from photographs of 
grids from sufficiently high towers.
