Dr. Lófstróm was a pioneer of photogrammetry in Finland. 
He also contributed in a considerable way to international 
activities from the beginning of his career. In the ISP 
Helsinki Congress 1976 he played an important role as 
Congress Director. He was called Honorary Member of the 
Finnish Society of Photogrammetry in 1967 and of the 
International Society for Photogrammetry in 1976.
