FINAL PLENARY SESSION 
Commission III - Aerial Triangulation 
a. That the experimental work 
started in the preceding four years 
be continued and finished in the 
period 1960-64. 
b. That, during the ensuing period 
1960-64, the participants in this 
experimental work shall form a 
“Working Group” independent of 
Commission III, and this group 
shall act under the presidency of 
Prof Cassinis as in the past. 
c. That Commission III do not 
initiate any other experimental 
work of the same kind in the 
period 1960-64. 
d. That the seven Centres already 
participating in the work continue 
it further. Other Centres willing 
to partake in the same spirit and 
under the same rules, already laid 
down in the Commission III 
General Report 1960, are invited 
to join those already engaged in 
this work. 
That the difference between the 
co-ordinates resulting from the 
present experimental work of 
Commission 111 and the IG N data 
be sent to the Presidency of the 
Working Group before the 31st 
December 1961. That the Centres 
send a critical and detailed report 
on the work done and on the 
results achieved to the Presidency 
of the Working Group and to all 
the other Centres before the 30th 
April 1962. 
That a meeting of all the par 
ticipants in the experimental work 
be held in the Autumn of 1962. 
That after a critical examination 
of the different results, the form 
in which the final report is to be 
compiled and published be dis 
cussed at that meeting. 
The Presidency of the Working 
Group wishes to thank the French 
I G N for the way in which it has 
collaborated and is sure that it 
may continue to rely upon this 
collaboration in the future. 
Resolution 9 (Commission III)

Resolution 10 (Commission lll) 
Les travaux expérimentaux de 
vront en tout cas être achevés 
avant le 31 Décembre 1961: à cette 
date, les comparaisons entre les 
coordonnées obtenues et celles qui 
sont en possession de l’I G N 
devront déjà avoir été effectuées. 
D’ici 30 Avril 1962, les Centres 
de travail devront envoyer à la 
Présidence du Groupe et à chacun 
des Centres eux-mêmes, un rap 
port critique détaillé sur les re 
cherches exécutées et les résultats 
obtenus. 
Résolution 11 (Commission lll) 
Au cours de l’automne 1962, 
aura lieu une réunion des repré 
sentants de tous les Centres ayant 
participé aux travaux, pendant 
laquelle, après un examen critique 
comparatif des différents rap 
ports, on établira les modalités de 
la rédaction et de la publication 
du rapport définitif. 
Resolution 12 (Commission lll) 
La Présidence du Groupe de 
travail remercie l’IGN Français 
de la manière avec laquelle il a 
collaboré dans le passé; elle est 
sûre que cette collaboration se 
poursuivra, cordiale et effective, 
pendant la prochaine période. 
a. Die experimentelle Arbeit, die 
in den vorangegangenen vier 
Jahren begonnen wurde, soll in 
der Periode 1960-64 fortgesetzt 
und abgeschlossen werden. 
b. Während der folgenden Peri 
ode 1960-64 werden die Teil 
nehmer an dieser experimentellen 
Arbeit eine „Arbeitsgruppe” un 
abhängig von der Kommission TII 
formen; diese Gruppe wird wie 
bisher unter dem Vorsitz von 
Prof Cassinis wirken. 
c. Kommission III soll in der 
Periode 1960-64 keinerlei andere 
experimentelle Arbeit derselben 
Art beginnen. 
d. Die sieben Zentren, die bereits 
an der Arbeit teilnehmen, sollen 
diese weiterhin fortsetzen. Andere 
Zentren, die bereit sind, im selben 
Geist und unter denselben Bedin 
gungen teilzunehmen, die bereits 
im Generalbericht 1960 der Kom 
mission III festgelegt wurden, 
sind eingeladen, sich denjenigen, 
die bereits mit dieser Arbeit be 
schäftigt sind, anzuschliessen. 
Die Unterschiede zwischen den 
Koordinaten, die sich aus der ge 
genwärtigen experimentellen Ar 
beit der Kommission III ergeben, 
und den I G N-Daten sollen dem 
Vorsitz der Arbeitsgruppe vor 
dem 31. Dezember 1961 einge 
sendet werden. Die Zentren sollen 
einen kritischen und gegliederten 
Bericht über die ausgeführte Ar 
beit und die erreichten Resultate 
vor dem 30. April 1962 an den 
Vorsitz der Arbeitsgruppe und an 
alle anderen Zentren senden. 
Im Herbst 1962 soll eine Sit 
zung aller Teilnehmer an der ex 
perimentellen Arbeit abgehalten 
werden. Bei dieser Sitzung soll 
nach einer kritischen Prüfung der 
verschiedenen Resultate die Form 
besprochen werden, in der der 
abschliessende Bericht aufzustel 
len und zu veröffentlichen ist. 
Der Vorsitz der Arbeitsgruppe 
wünscht dem französischen IG N 
seinen Dank auszusprechen für 
die Art, in der es mitgearbeitet hat, 
und er ist sicher, dass es auch in 
Zukunft auf diese Zusammen 
arbeit zählen wird.
