ABSTRACT
Economics development in Asia has caused an increase in the demand for
food. Not all of the Asian countries lost their cultivation area. Developed
countries such as Japan lost its cultivation arca. but they have enough money to
import food from the world. Undeveloped country such as Myanmar, Laos, they
increase the cultivation area. Thev don't have enough money to import food from
the world, but thev can get food from their land. Developing country, they lost
their cultivation area, and they are thought to have money to import food from
the world. If their dream to be a developed country will not come true, serious
problem like North Korea suffered during these davs mav happen.

I. INTRODUCTION
Economic development and growth of
population in Asia have caused an increase in
the demand for food. On the other hand.
disappearing the cultivation arca and global
warming have caused a decrease in the
supplv for food. We have been working on
making model entitled Modeling the
demand and supply for food in Asia”. This
model explain the structure of demand for
food using the Cobb-Douglas function and
also concerns about reciprocal action among
food. food.
demand for supply for
environment and cconomic development.
This time we propose "Modcling the land use
change in Asia” and trv to forecast the land
use change in Asia until 2010.
