Materiale from the terrain interpretation are then send to
the machine plotting group, which ie involved in planimetrie
or planimetrie and contours plotting, depending on the needs
/points 16 and 17 /•
After finishing plotting of the individual sheet by the
machine plotting groups, the material is forwarded to the
field groups who carry out the supplementary surveying* If
the photographs were not legible in the field, these groups
complete the reconnaisance of property boundaries* After the
completion of this work, these groups carry out the macro
scopic review and check the accuracy of the map sheet, car
rying the same responsibility for the final production of
the map*
The reviewed and corrected map sheet is then send to
the cartographic section*
3. ORGANIZATION AND ECONOMY OP LARGET SCALE MAPPING *
In diagram 2 / resulting from technology / the intercon
nected activity of the seperate groups is shown*
In talking of economical and organizational aspects of
plotting of large scale maps using the photogrammetrie me
thod, we have to take under consideration the anlysis of
large region* - The region of- southern Poland, as we said,
is involved in a many year plan of mapping in a basic scale
1*2000 / for urban areas 1*1000 or 1*500 /•
In this study we are analysing one object having a area
of 780 km and on its example we are showing certain accepted
organizational forms of the production process f and the me
thod as wise as possible use of equipment and technical per
sonnel'! but only in reference to this object* However the
whole problem is different if exist possibility of simulta
neous organization of work on several of such objects and if
we have opportunities in dead periods to move personnel from
the field to the office*
The full production cycle for an analysing object, ha
ving an average degree of difficulty for photogrammetrie plo
tting is shown on diagram 3*
The production process shown on the diagram 3 encompas
sing a cycle of 24 months and time synchronization of basic
stages of production* It is not optimum cycle from the point
of view of organizational efficiency and effectivness in the
period of use of people and equipment* It is a conditioned
cycle depending on *
- flight period - in the area of southern Poland the best
period for taking photographs is fall /September/, when the
growing season has ended and atmospheric conditions allows
taking the good quality aerial-photographs.
