2. STATUS OF PROFESSIONS RELATED TO PHOTOGRAMMETRY AND REMOTE
SENSING
Photogrammetry is being used nearly in total for mapping pur
poses. It is practiced mainly by National Organizations and very few small
(one-plotter) private firms.
The individual public sector photogrammetric establishments have
a project oriented organization, in general being aerial survey and mapping
of the country at different scales. These organizations (Fig. 2.1) are:
(a) The Geographical Service of the Army, producing maps at scales 1:50000,
1:25000, 1:5000 and upon request even larger,
