Data of aero/space surveys are widely used in our
country for prospecting and utilization of natural re
sources, geological mapping, exploration of mineral re
sources and environmental protection. Three interconnec
ted and interdependent directions of aero/space investi
gations appear the most promising: development of theore
tical and physical foundations for remotely-controlled
sounding, development and improvement of hardware for
collection and processing of aero/space information, de
velopment of methods (technologies) for interpretation
of the above information for practical purposes.
Modem technologies are based on recording by pho
tographical, optoelectronic multispectral (within 0.4 -
20 range) and radar devices of amplitude, frequency
and geometrical parameters of electromagnetic self-ra
diation and back-scattered radiation from natural objects;
they are also based on integrated processing of the re
corded parameters with the use of digital and analog
computing systems.
'The efficiency of aero/space technologies can be
enhanced by additional recordingof phase, polarization
and luminescence parameters of back-scattered electro
magnetic radiation, also of second-order interaction
terms for various physical fields. The technologies can
be improved by optimization of employed parameters cha
racterizing the properties of natural objects, as well as
methods for processing of the aoove parameters.
The M Aerogeologia” association and VrAT IK AM institute
nave developed efficient technologies for geological and
nature-protection purposes. These technologies can be
lisenced out as sets of documentation, or contracts can
be concluded for particular missions and for training
of specialists.
